The Inc. 5000 2023 list of the fastest growing private companies in America include several from Northwest Indiana.
According to Inc., the companies on its list generated $358 billion in 2022 revenue and created more than a million jobs. Fifty companies from Indiana are listed. They generated $2.4 billion in total revenue and 2,606 jobs. Six were recently founded, and 33 are repeat honorees.
Companies that made the list were ranked by the percentage of revenue growth from 2019 to 2022 and must have been founded by March 31, 2019. They also must be based in the U.S., privately held, for profit and not be subsidiaries or divisions of other companies as of Dec. 31, 20222.
The following is a list of Region companies by rank:
No. 1,085: MSI Express, manufacturing, Portage
No. 1,175: WeCreate, advertising and marketing, Valparaiso
No. 1,739: BNutty Peanut Butter, food and beverage, Portage
No. 1,782: Cargox, logistics and transportation, Munster
No. 3,455: Siltworm, environmental services, Merrillville

The Inc. 5000 list has been determined every year since 1982 and has included companies such as Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia.
