Regina Biddings-Muro is leaving her post at Purdue University Northwest for a new role at California Lutheran University.

HAMMOND – Regina Biddings-Muro, a 14-year administrator at Purdue University Northwest, is leaving her post at the college by the end of June to take over as vice president of university advancement at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Biddings-Muro has been vice chancellor of institutional advancement at Purdue Northwest since 2012, after serving as chief of staff from 2004 to 2011. Under her direction, PNW has increased fundraising each year.

Biddings-Muro’s is an East Chicago native and lifelong Northwest Indiana resident. She earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree, both in communications, from Purdue Northwest and later earned a PhD. of education in higher education and organizational change from Benedictine University.

Biddings-Muro’s involvement in the Northwest Indiana community through the years includes service on the boards of Sojourner Truth House in Gary, Edgewater Health in Gary, and Theatre at the Center in Munster as well as many other organizations working to improve the quality of life, inclusivity, mentoring and opportunities for women and minorities in the region. She also serves as a lector and active member at SS Monica and Luke Catholic Church in Gary.
