GARY – The Gary SouthShore RailCats are teaming up with The Northwest Indiana Military Support Network and the American Red Cross to host Homeruns for Heroes.
The event will be Aug. 21 at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary. The event, which is designed to raise community awareness for veterans, their families and the issues affecting them, is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., the event is open only to ticketed participants.
The Northwest Indiana Military Support Network is a collaboration of organizations centered in Lake County.
