HAMMOND — Community residents are invited to participate in a friendship program with Purdue University Calumet international students.
As part of Purdue Calumet’s ‘Going Global’ initiative, the university’s International Programs Office has initiated a Global Exchange Friendship program. Through the program, Purdue Calumet international students will be matched with American friends, including community members, students, alumni, faculty and staff members. More than 600 international students attend Purdue Calumet.
Local friends of the program agree to meet monthly with their international student over coffee, lunch/dinner, movies or other activities.
