Purdue Cal United Way effort up 25 percent

HAMMOND – Purdue University Calumet closed 2011 with a 25 percent increase in contribution to its annual Lake Area United Way campaign.

Faculty, staff and students generated $22,235.56 in pledges and gifts, including a record $1,648.14 from students.

The campus committee was directed by Daniel Hendricks, vice chancellor for advancement; Ralph Rogers, vice chancellor for academic affairs; and Karen Holland, university relations secretary.
