Dietary Supplements: “To Use or Not to Use?” That is the Question
One day you read this “new supplement” is the latest and greatest, and the next day you read just the opposite. So do you take it or not? Join Internal Medicine Physician Crystal Tuncay, D.O., to learn the truth behind dietary supplement claims and provide you with evidence to ensure their proper usage. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.
Manage Your Asthma
Don’t simply cope with your asthma symptoms; learn how to work with your physician to better manage them with an asthma action plan. Pulmonologist Nikhil Madan, M.D., will help you learn how to identify your asthma triggers so you may better manage your asthma medications if your symptoms worsen. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.
Vaccines Aren’t Just for Children
Hepatitis A, influenza, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella…. What vaccines do adults really need and when do they need them? Geriatrician and Internal Medicine Physician Tania Ghosh, M.D., will share the information you need to make informed decisions about vaccines and when you need to receive them. The event will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.
