VALPARAISO — The Board of Directors of Porter Health Care System announced that Stephen Lunn will serve as its new CEO effective March 24.
Lunn has more than 10 years of hospital leadership experience. Since 2011, Lunn has served as CEO of Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois, working to position the hospital as the provider of choice in Marion County. Under his leadership, Heartland Regional made improvements in patient care by reaching its highest-ever quality scores. The hospital also recruited a record number of new physicians, acquired five physician practices and was recognized for increased physician and employee satisfaction. Lunn’s achievements earned him the 2012 CEO Excellence in Leadership Award from Community Health Systems.
