The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi will open Rolling Embers, a cannabis retail store, in New Buffalo, Michigan, on April 20.

The store will offer a consumption lounge where patrons can use products purchased onsite that day. Customers must be 21 with valid identification and from any state, but only Rolling Embers products can be consumed in the lounge, according to the shop's website.

Products will include flower, pre-rolls, edibles and vape products, which can be pre-ordered and then picked up at the store. They will be sourced from approved cultivators and manufacturers in Michigan.

The retail store at 19279 Kinst Road is on tribal land. The tribe retained Opus Consulting to help with the management and development of the facility.

Michigan legalized recreational marijuana use for adults in November 2018.
