HAMMOND & WESTVILLE – A 20-year, higher education enrollment management professional is Purdue University Northwest’s new executive director of admissions.

Jeff Lochowicz has joined the PNW enrollment management unit after previously serving as senior assistant dean of admissions at Marquette University of Milwaukee, Wis.

Experience and leadership

Lochowicz brings comprehensive, customer-focused, data-driven and service-oriented experience and leadership to Indiana’s fifth largest university. Some 15,286 students attend PNW‘s two Northwest Indiana campuses at Hammond and Westville. He will report to Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Carmen Panlilio.

“Jeff brings knowledge and a proven track record of how to appeal to the type of well-prepared students who are intent on earning a Purdue degree at Purdue Northwest,” Panlilio said. “We are pleased to have Jeff join a PNW leadership team focused on moving our university forward.”

Effective efforts

Lochowicz has directed admissions communication team efforts that have been successful attracting an increased number of diverse and graduation-persistent students. He also has effectively mentored a staff of 30 admissions professionals and more than 100 student employees. Additionally, he has implemented several innovative recruiting technologies.

“I am excited to join the Purdue Northwest family, and I look forward to collaboratively engaging the admissions staff and campus partners to further the mission of our university,” Lochowicz said.

Lochowicz holds baccalaureate and MBA degrees from Marquette University.
