PNC receives scholarships from U.S. Steel

WESTVILLE – Purdue University North Central has received a grant from U.S. Steel to fund scholarships for PNC Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students.

Chancellor James Dworkin thanked U.S. Steel for the scholarship grant, which was distributed to eight students. They are Marion Choucair of Michigan City; Jonathon Jachura of LaCrosse; Kai Justice of Wheatfield; Seth Kampa of South Bend; Matthew Koepkey of Winamac; Alexander Mussa of LaPorte; Tyler Sherrill of LaPorte; and Gregory Steingass of Valparaiso.

“U.S. Steel has a long history of being actively involved in the communities where we operate and supporting educational initiatives is just one example of that involvement,” said Anthony Bridge, vice president for Engineering and Technology at U.S. Steel. “This grant is a reaffirmation of our company’s commitment to helping Purdue University North Central develop bright, motivates, skilled people for the workforce of the future.”
