It has been just over two months since Michelle Duca, founder of the Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry, participated in the United Way NWIgives event. Not only did she come away with some much needed funds for her organization, but also a blueprint for using social media to help garner support.
She's hoping that blueprint will work just as well for the upcoming Give Local Porter County Day on May 6. On that day,www.givelocalportercounty.org will be flooded with users who are donating to their favorite nonprofits. Each donation gives the organization a chance at winning cash prizes from a pool of $100,000 in national prizes and $10,000 in local prizes.
