KNOX — A nurse who has become affectionately known as the “singing nurse with the soft southern charm” has been awarded The Daisy Award at Indiana University Health Starke Hospital – a top honor for nurses who provide compassionate care to patients.

Orlean Miller, a 16-year veteran at IU Health Starke Hospital, received the award and the Healing Hands statue for her compassion and excellence in nursing service to patients and families.
