WHITING – The next phase of construction at the BP refinery in Whiting is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
To complete the project, BP said it will shut down part of the refinery in the fourth quarter of this year to reconfigure three of the crude units.
At the same time, BP reported a loss of $1.4 billion in the second quarter. The loss was attributed to lower prices.
