CPA Joel Cooper is the newest partner at Munster-based McMahon & Associates CPAs.
Cooper joined the firm in 2015 and started his new role Jan. 1.
“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to become a partner at McMahon & Associates CPAs PC,” Cooper said. “The faith and confidence that Terry, Karen, Marisa and Jolanta have shown in me is humbling. I look forward to learning from them and further developing my professional capabilities.”
Cooper provides financial reporting and tax services. In 2020, he received the certified valuation analyst designation, adding business valuations to the list of services he can provide.
“Joel’s accounting, tax and valuation skills are complimented by his strong working knowledge of technology and accounting systems,” according to a statement from the firm.
Cooper is a graduate of Culver Academy and Denison University. He also earned a master’s degree from Indiana University.
McMahon & Associates, which was established in 1971, serves Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s south suburbs.
