Tea A’More, which will offer Taiwanese tea influenced bubble tea drinks and specialty waffles, will soon open in Portage.
Lance Dawson, who operates a Jimmy John’s location in Portage and Jack Huang, owner of First Wok in Portage, have leased space at the Meadows Shopping Center, 2531 Willowcreek Road in Portage, according to Schererville-based real estate firm Latitude Commercial, who represented the landlord in the lease. The operators behind the concept have been in the restaurant business all their lives and plan to start construction soon.
“This is an exciting new concept for the shopping center,” said Brett McDermott with Latitude Commercial. “The operators have been traveling and training non-stop between Chicago and New York and I know they are going to offer a great product to the community and I expect it to get fully embraced.”
