The Mobile Health Unit of IU Health La Porte and Starke hospitals is on the move in La Porte and Starke counties, coming to area businesses with free blood pressure and diabetes screenings. The events are free and open to the public of all ages. Look for the Mobile Health Unit at any of the locations and times below:

10 a.m.-noon, Nov. 20, Al’s, 3535 S. Franklin St., Michigan City
10-11:30 a.m., Nov. 21, Al’s, Maple Lane Mall, 1340 W. S.R. 2, La Porte

The Mobile Health Unit is designed to bring life-saving screenings and opportunities for health interactions to communities all across La Porte and Starke counties. It is purchased and maintained by the La Porte Hospital Foundation to fulfill a strategic goal of IU Health La Porte and Starke hospitals of improving access to healthcare.
