Methodist Hospitals appointed Lauren Trumbo chief financial officer and vice president of finance.

Trumbo most recently served as chief financial officer for Community Healthcare System’s St. Catherine Hospital, a role she had held since 2016. Trumbo also has experience on the clinical side having worked her way through college as a certified nurse assistant at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and Miller’s Merry Manor in Portage.

Trumbo has been active in community service and currently serves as board president for both Mental Health America of Northwest Indiana and Northshore Health Centers. She also serves in an advisory capacity with the Merrillville-based Nurse-Family Partnership.

Trumbo also helped launch a financial literacy program series for residents of East Chicago.

Trumbo holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a master’s degree of accountancy from Purdue University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana.

Methodist Hospitals operates two full-service acute care facilities in Gary and Merrillville as well as several medical and physician offices around Northwest Indiana.
