Methodist Hospitals makes two executive appointments

Methodist Hospitals recently appointed two directors to its leadership team.

Claire O’Neill was named director of system transformation and Duane Seaborne director of surgical services.

O’Neill Joined Methodist Hospitals in June. She will direct operational and organizational improvement by identifying underperforming areas and processes and managing the implementation and evaluation of efforts to achieve the hospitals’ strategic goals, the health system said.

O’Neill most recently worked for Sinai Health System in Chicago as director of financial operations for its acute care hospitals. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business administration from Fordham University.

Seaborne joined Methodist Hospitals in March. He has more than 10 years of operating room experience in a wide range of specialties.

Seaborne most recently worked for NeuroDiagnostic Institute in Indianapolis and has managed surgical services at Franciscan Alliance hospitals, Wishard Health Services in Indianapolis and IU Health. He holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Kent State University and a Master of Science in nursing administration from Indiana State University.

Methodist Hospitals operates two full-service acute care facilities in Gary and Merrillville as well as several medical and physician offices around Northwest Indiana.
