The Memorial Leighton Trauma Center has been re-verified as an Adult Level II Trauma Center by the Verification Review Committee, an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons.
The Center has been re-verified three times since its initial verification in 2004, and remains the only verifiedTrauma Center in North Central Indiana, with the next closest centers located in Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
