SOUTH BEND – Memorial Hospital will open a new vascular disease testing and wound care facility. It will be a part of the Memorial Leighton Heart & Vascular Center on the first floor of the hospital.
The facility includes ultrasound equipment to diagnose vascular disease, including aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease.
Memorial Wound Care Service occupies the other half of the space where patients will receive care from physical therapists trained to treat open wounds caused by trauma, circulation problems, infection, burns, diabetes and other diseases.
