CROWN POINT – Medical Specialists, a long-time Northwest Indiana health care organization of 69 health care providers who offer a variety of primary and specialty care services, has joined Franciscan Alliance.
Medical Specialists, now called Franciscan Medical Specialists, was created in 1978 and has 12 locations in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties. It has 55 physicians and surgeons, 11 nurse practitioners and two physician assistants.

Among its services are allergies and asthmas, behavioral medicine, dermatology, ear, nose and throat, endocrinology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine and rheumatology.
Medical Specialists has offices in Munster, Dyer, Hammond, Hobart, LaPorte, Merrillville, Michigan City, Schererville and Valparaiso.
