MERRILLVILLE — Margaret Detert was honored for achieving 50 years of continuous volunteer service at Methodist Hospitals’ Annual Auxiliary Awards Luncheon.

This year was exceptionally special because of Margaret’s achievement. Margaret Detert is on her 50th year of consecutive volunteer service with Methodist Hospitals. Detert is a proud member of the Methodist Hospitals Auxiliary as well as a dedicated and exceptional volunteer. Detert serves as a chairwoman for the volunteers as well being the Corresponding Secretary for the Auxiliary. Detert received a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and a gold plated pin to represent her volunteer service hours. All Methodist Hospitals Volunteers were also honored for serving a total of 34,394 service hours for the 2012-2013 year.
