Lubeznik Center for the Arts will host it's premier annual fundraising event, ArtBash 2017 – Havana Nights, at Blue Chip Stardust Event Center. All proceeds directly support LCA's mission to interweave art exhibitions, education and community outreach in order to enrich the quality of life in the region. Financial support provides: free participation in arts programs and activities for kids and adults; acclaimed contemporary arts exhibitions; academically-enhanced ArtReach programs including docent-led field trips for 2,000 students a year.
The MC for the evening will be Ron Magers, former news anchor for ABC Chicago. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid by text during the interactive auction; buy a chance to win a painting by local artists, Jay Zerbe or Karl Warren; enjoy sophisticated Latin/Caribbean rhythm and beats by drummer, Scott Johnson of Callaloo; cha cha, samba, and rumba with the Latin Dance Showcase students and staff of Dimensions School of Social Dance.
Scott Johnson is the steel drummer for Chicago's premier world fusion steelpan group Callaloo. Callaloo has performed at the Taste of Chicago, Chicago Botanic Gardens Concert Series, WGN Midday News, Global Fest, and many more.
The Latin Dance Showcase comes to ArtBash courtesy of Dimensions School of Social Dance located in Chesterton, IN. Dimensions owner, Danielle Bilderback, has been teaching throughout Northwest Indiana for the last eight years. She is a lifelong lover and supporter of the arts. Bilderback states, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Lubeznik Center on this year's Havana Nights Artbash, and can't wait to show off our talented students and staff in a variety of Latin dances!”

Tickets are available for $150 through June 9 and at regular price of $165 starting June 10. Tables for 10 are $1500 through June 9 and $1650 starting June 10.
