Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria’s first Indiana location could be serving up its famous Chicago-style deep-dish pizza by mid-July.
A representative for the Northbook, Ill.-based firm in an email to Northwest Indiana Business Magazine June 25 said, “pending our inspections, we plan to open on July 15.”
The location is in Schererville at 36 Indianapolis Blvd. in the Town Square Shopping Center, also home to T.J. Maxx, Old Navy and Bed Bath & Beyond.
The company has been actively hiring staff for its Schererville location. The company said previously that it expected to hire up to 35 people for the site, which will be its 58th overall.
The Schererville Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will only provide carry-out, delivery and catering services.
