HAMMOND — Students from the Construction Technology course at the Hammond Area Career Center recently presented Local 599 of the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters (IKORCC) with a plaque as a way to thank the carpenters for their continuous support.
The Construction Technology course, open to Lake County high school juniors and seniors, teaches students the hands-on skills needed for entry-level construction positions and allows students to earn Home Builder’s Institute (HBI) Carpentry Basic Certification.
