FORT WAYNE —Advancements in mobile technology are changing the ways that consumers manage their finances and two local companies, Allied Payment Network, a provider of online bill payment services to the financial industry, and 3Rivers Federal Credit Union ($750 million) are leading the charge as 3Rivers is the first credit union in the country to launch Allied’s Picture PayTM mobile bill payment solution – the first mobile point, shoot and pay application for smartphones.

With 3Rivers Mobile Bill Pay, members can easily and securely pay any bill by simply taking a picture of a bill with their mobile device, then entering the amount and payment date.

“The addition of 3Rivers Mobile Bill Pay enables us to fulfill our members’ need for a simple mobile bill pay solution, as well as increase mobile adoption and member satisfaction,” said Melissa Shaw, marketing communication manager for 3Rivers. “3Rivers is committed to being a leader in providing innovative financial management services to set us apart from other institutions, and Allied’s industry first bill pay offering is exactly the type of technology we want to offer our members.”
