LA PORTE – Beautiful piano melodies played with skill, grace, and feeling will fill the air on Friday as Kimberly Ebert performs a concert of original compositions from her first solo piano record, Nostalgia. The concert – November’s slate of the First Friday in the Chapel series – is free and takes place at noon, Nov. 7 in the La Porte Hospital Family Chapel, 1007 Lincolnway,  La Porte. Attendees are invited to bring a lunch and enjoy the midday melodies in the chapel, which serves as a community space for musical ensemble, events, reflection and worship.

Ebert is a La Porte native who is known for creating peaceful, new age piano sounds of sadness, hope, drama, and ambience. Along with her own compositions, she will also play several of her solo piano favorites, both contemporary songs and older classics, all with her own stylistic flair and unique emotional interpretation of each piece.

Ebert is writing songs for her next solo piano album which she will be recording in 2015. The public can listen to samples or purchase songs from Nostalgia, as well as her future music, at solopiano.com/artist/KimberlyEbert.
