JAK’S Warehouse and Pet Supplies Plus in Dyer team up for Humane Society Calumet Area Fire Relief Drive.

The Humane Society Calumet Area was struck with a fire this past July. While none of the 300 plus animals were harmed, the facility did lose most of their linens and cleaning supplies. In an effort to show support, JAK’S Warehouse and Pet Supplies Plus in Dyer are teaming up for a Fire Relief Drive.

JAK’S Warehouse is giving out free $5 Game Cards to kind hearted patrons and animal lovers alike in exchange for wish list donations to the Humane Society Calumet Area. Items needed include towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, and more. A full list can be found at: jakswarehouse.com

This call to action is also being supported by Pet Supplies Plus of Dyer, IN, who launched the donation drive in the right direction with a table full of dog food, cat food, and other needed goods. Along with this generous contribution, Pet Supplies Plus in Dyer, IN is also giving 10% off all donated items that are purchased in store.

This drive runs from August 13th till August 30th with donation drop off spots being JAK’s Warehouse (221 Indianapolis Blvd. Schererville, IN  46375) and Pet Supplies Plus (946 Joliet St, Dyer, IN 46311). While there is a five Game Card limit, JAK’S hopes this donation drive will help out a great cause.

“When something this horrible happens, it affects everyone,” said Lisa Carpenter, Director of Sales and Marketing at JAK'S Warehouse, “this is one of many ways JAK’S Warehouse plans on giving back to the community.” JAK’S Warehouse has held fundraisers and drives for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana's Hope Project and Highland Youth Sports to name just a few.
