LAPORTE – As a service to enterprise zone businesses, the LaPorte Urban Enterprise Association is sponsoring a workshop on Tuesday, March 5, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to review tax saving incentives available to businesses that are located within the Enterprise Zone, completion of required forms, and changes in filing dates. The location of the workshop is at the Activity Center for Older Adults, 910 State Street, LaPorte, Indiana.
Various tax and financial incentives are available in LaPorte’s Enterprise Zone that impacts a business’ cash flow. This workshop will explain the incentives in detail. All businesses located within the Enterprise Zone are invited to the workshop. However, businesses that have never used the incentives are strongly encouraged to attend this event.
The LaPorte Urban Enterprise Association is responsible for managing a state-designated enterprise zone. The mission of the LaPorte Urban Enterprise Association is to be a comprehensive economic and community development organization that fosters new investment partnership, job creation and redevelopment of the Enterprise Zone. The City of LaPorte was awarded an enterprise zone in 2002.
