LAPORTE – The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs will hold a Regional Economic Impact Workshop from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the LaPorte County Extension office.
Speakers include Jim Staton, Northwest Regional Director of the Indiana Economic Development Corp.; Derek Bjonback, an associate professor of economics at Purdue University North Central; Michael Hicks, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at Ball State University; Scott Hutcheson of the Purdue Center for Regional Development; and Michael Thissen, community affairs director of the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
