HAMMOND – The locally produced documentary “Everglades of the North: the Story of the Grand Kankakee Marsh,” which has been nominated for a Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award, will be featured in the In-Vision Theater at the Indiana Welcome Center on Sunday, Oct. 27 beginning at 2:00 p.m. The public is invited to view the documentary for free on a first come, first served seating basis.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Chicago/Midwest Chapter nominated the documentary last month for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Achievement for Documentary Programs – Historical.
The 2013 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Ceremony will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3rd at the Alhambra Palace in Chicago.
