First Merchants Bank, a subsidiary of First Merchants Corporation, is pleased to announce that John Freyek was recently elected to serve as board president. Freyek serves as First Merchants’ vice president/senior relationship manager in Crown Point, Ind.
Freyek joined First Merchants Bank in 2008 and has nearly two decades of banking experience.
Freyek is very active in several Northwest Indiana communities, serving in leadership roles on numerous board including the Highland Chamber of Commerce, Jacob’s Ladder Pediatric Rehab Center, Pines Village Retirement Communities and March of Dimes March for Babies, Lake County.
