SOUTH BEND – Jerry Scott has joined Gibson as the Director of Commercial Risk Management.

He will provide leadership to the Commercial Risk Management team by building consensus and acting as a liaison with clients, external partners, and internal sales and service teams. His primary focus will be to develop staff and workflow procedures resulting in the highest service levels to maximize the delivery of the Gibson Client Experience.

He is fluent in performance management, pay-for-performance systems, leadership development, organizational change management, worksite wellness, and acquisition integration. He specializes in bringing real world solutions to business issues including the process of finding, keeping, and developing the right people in pursuit of a high performance culture.

Prior to joining Gibson, Jerry was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Administration for Towne Air Freight with responsibility for Human Resources, Safety and Compliance, Loss Prevention, and Legal Affairs.

Serving as the chief architect of employee and community engagement strategy, he led Towne’s efforts to impact lives in South Bend. He founded the Read to a Child initiative in South Bend public schools, cofounded the Reducing Obesity Coalition of St. Joseph County, led an effort to raise $100,000 for the Heart Association through Heart Walks, and founded the Our Towne Truck Pull raising over $230,000 for the South Bend Public Education Foundation.
