More than 15 Northwest Indiana employers are expected at Ivy Tech Community College’s Spooktacular Career Fair Oct. 31.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ivy Tech’s Valparaiso campus, 3100 Ivy Tech Drive. The event is open to the public.

In addition to employers, students also will have opportunities to discuss transfer options with representatives from more than a dozen four-year institutions.

“We are excited to offer this event with a twist this year, since it takes place on Halloween,” said Abbey Durojaye, Ivy Tech Community College Valparaiso director of career development and employer engagement.

This is the campus’s second annual fall career fair and will feature employers from Lake, Porter, and La Porte counties.

Among the expected employers include T&B Tube, La Porte Hospital and Opportunity Enterprises.

“We want to give students and community members an opportunity to meet potential employers and four-year institutions we work with for transfer opportunities” said Cindi Czapla, transfer advocate and academic advisor at Ivy Tech.
