LA PORTE — IU Health La Porte Hospital has launched a website about the hospital’s ongoing search for an additional partner, officials announced. The site is designed to provide information about the hospital’s ongoing search, as well as solicit input from community members on the future of healthcare in LaPorte and Starke counties.

The Board of Directors for IU Health La Porte Hospital announced in September that it had issued a request for proposals from local, regional and national health systems. The Board is seeking an additional partner to help the two Northwest Indiana hospitals thrive with a broader network, improved facilities, and a strong strategy that is more ready to respond to tomorrow’s healthcare challenges in this part of the state.
