LA PORTE & KNOX — Mother Nature was on the side of about 87 Indiana University Health La Porte and Starke colleagues on Friday, who teamed up for the annual Day of Service to improve parks. With sunny weather and temperatures in the 80s, the colleagues were able to complete more than 270 combined hours of work to help improve the parks and ultimately encourage the community to be more physically active.

The day was part of a state-wide effort among all IU Health entities to help address the growing risk of obesity in our communities.
