MERRILLVILLE – Competitive Support Options Inc., an IT company based in Mokena, Ill., has opened an office at the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.

Competitive Support Options provides clients with Intel-based servers, IBM power servers, tape and storage solutions, desktops, thin clients, laser printers, impact printers, thermal printers, switches, and access points.

President Pat Swanson founded the company in 1995 with a small group of investors.

“We offer a suite of information technology solutions including products from manufacturers such as IBM, Dell and HP plus a continuum of IT support ranging from traditional break/fix services to high-availability configurations that encompass redundant systems and software.”

Swanson said the company will focus on greater sales of products and services to new and existing customers in Northwest Indiana. Ray Govert, the new vice president of sales, will lead efforts from the Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana.

“The technology center at the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana offers a great forum for B2B networking, the facility is excellent and the staff is professional,” Govert said. “It brings an extra capability to Competitive Support Options, like the ability to enhance our disaster recovery services offering. Additionally, our largest software partner, Regional Data Services, is close by for support and consultation.”
