Irish company opens Michigan City location

Ireland-based Powerflow recently expanded into North America, opening a new facility in Michigan City.

Powerflow engineers and manufactures automatic drains for the compressed air and gas industry.

“Our Michigan City facility will provide a strategic base for us to extend the reach of our industry-leading products and services,” said Fergal Power, Powerflow Electronics CEO, in a press release. “Our continued focus is to support our long-standing partnerships and build new customer relationships in the Region.”

Powerflow’s products are sold in over 90 countries. Their products include electronic controls for industrial filtration, irrigation, agriculture and wastewater treatment. The company maintains joint venture and private-label arrangements with OEM companies across multiple industry sectors.

“Powerflow’s move to North America signifies our commitment to meet the growing demands of our customers and serve them better,” Power said.

Powerflow Electronics was established in 1982 to design and manufacture electronic control and automation equipment for the compressed air industry. Powerflow Engineering designs and manufactures electrical switchgear and control systems for the industrial and commercial sectors. The two companies in combination are called The Power Group and are based in County Waterford, Ireland.
