INDIANAPOLIS — StateScoop, a leading website in state and local government technology, has recognized Indiana four times as part of its 2015 “StateScoop 50” awards. The awards honor the best and brightest in making state and local government more efficient and effective.

Paul Baltzell, Indiana’s chief information officer, is one of nine state leaders nationally designated a “State Executive of the Year.”

Leading the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT), Baltzell over the past year has helped implement Indiana’s Management Performance Hub (described later) and overseen a groundbreaking infant mortality study using data analytics. He also has led the launch of more than a dozen new innovative digital applications designed to provide citizens better experiences interacting with government and to help government agencies achieve better efficiency and productivity as they serve citizens.
