Malika Butler is the new assistant vice president of governmental affairs for the Indiana Manufacturers Association.

She was promoted to the role after serving as government affairs and communications specialist for the organization the past year.

“Malika has proven to be an effective and respected member of the IMA’s governmental affairs team,” said Brian Burton, president and CEO of the Indiana Manufacturers Association. “Malika's work this past session was invaluable to Hoosier manufacturers. We look forward to her continued contributions on behalf of our members,”

Her previous experience includes serving as manager of political affairs at the Indy Chamber of Commerce, and as a government affairs associate with Gubera Public Affairs LLC. Malika also served as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives, and field manager for the House Republican Campaign Committee while at Indiana University.

Malika will continue her work lobbying on behalf of Indiana's manufacturing community in the areas of workforce and the environment, as well as managing the Indiana Manufacturers Association's Political Action Committee.

The Indiana Manufacturers Association formed in 1901 and represents more than 1,400 companies.
