INDIANAPOLIS — Ice Miller LLP welcomes Jonathan D. Groff as an associate to the Business Group. With experience as an attorney in the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission's Division of Corporation Finance, he will devote a significant portion of his practice to a broad array of federal and state securities law issues.
“Jon brings experience that will add significant depth to our securities practice group, which is an important area of focus for us,” said John R. Thornburgh, chair of Ice Miller's Business Group.
Groff's practice will focus on federal and state securities law, including capital formation (registered public and exempt private offerings); federal and state reporting and compliance; and general corporate matters. While on the SEC staff, Groff reviewed registration statements relating to IPOs, business combinations and a variety of other financing and reorganization transactions. He also regularly reviewed public company disclosures in periodic reports and proxy statements.
