Over 120 attendees participated in United Way Northwest Indiana’s First-Time Homebuyer Fair.
The event connected aspiring homeowners with resources to make their homeownership dreams a reality. Vendors, industry experts and nonprofit organizations were on hand to help those looking to navigate the home-buying process.
Attendees participated in three panel discussions featuring banks and mortgage brokers, nonprofit program assistance providers and realtors. Vendors reported strong engagement, with many potential buyers taking their first steps toward homeownership.
“The enthusiasm from the community was incredible,” said Joe Justak, United Way Northwest Indiana director of marketing, in a press release. “It’s clear that there is a growing demand for resources and education around first-time home buying, and we’re thrilled to provide that guidance.”
Encouraged by the success of the event, United Way Northwest Indiana is gearing up for additional opportunities. In the coming months, the organization will be expanding its reach. It will offer events to empower individuals and families on their journey to financial stability. These events aim to assist those in need in Northwest Indiana and create stronger, more resilient communities.
