SOUTH BEND – The first annual Hip Hop Dance Convention & Expo will take place Friday-Sunday June 12-14, 2015 at the South Bend Century Center, 120 S. St. Joseph Street South Bend, Indiana 46601.
“There has never been a dance event of this magnitude in the Michiana area” says Sidney Jemison, founder and CEO of Dancing with Diversity, LLC and the Conference Director. The convention will offer a weekend long program of workshops, educational sessions and regional vendors for beginner through advanced dancers. Featuring five (5) choreographers from Los Angeles and two (2) local choreographers with experience ranging from the Step Up movies to the season nine (9) winner of So You Think You Can Dance, attendees will learn from the nations’ best and most talented dancers: Di Moon Zhang, Lando Wilkins, MADD Chadd, Cyrus Glitch Spencer and Joey Hernandez.
Beginning Friday evening with a dance competition and ending on Sunday with the Showcase, the Hip Hop Dance Convention & Expo will bring together the diverse dance community throughout the Mid-West.
