HIGHLAND – A Pop-Up Gallery will be held in downtown Highland from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2645 Main St., Suite C. The event is sponsored by Highland Main Street.
Pop-Up Gallery is a concept to introduce art to the community, showcase available properties and create a networking event. The artists featured in the gallery are photographers Peter Doherty and Susan Henshaw.
Curator Judith Mayer, owner of Keyword Design LLC, says Doherty’s art is a “pleasing and interesting form of reality that captures the peaceful beauty of the Indiana and Chicago shorelines.” Henshaw’s art “explores the fleeting moments where water, wind and sky meet to create amazing and sometimes other-worldly images.”
The gallery will be held within 1,500 square feet of new construction that is for lease.
