SOUTH BEND – Heritage Place at LaSalle Square, which provides housing for senior citizens, has opened in South Bend.

The facility has 72 apartment and nearly all of them have been leases, according to The Sterling Group which operates Heritage Place.

The project required four years of planning and construction. A partner in the project is Memorial Hospital.

An official ribbon cutting to mark the grand opening will be held sometime in October.
