David W. Heeter, chief executive officer and director of MutualBank, Muncie, has been named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Gov. Mike Pence. The award recognizes Hoosiers who complete distinguished statewide service. Heeter was presented the award by Sen. Jim Merritt, R, District 31, on Sept. 30 at the Annual Convention of the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) in French Lick, Indiana.
“It is humbling to receive this award,” said Heeter, “especially in the company of the members of the Indiana Bankers Association. For more than 35 years, it has been my honor to serve Hoosier communities through the banking profession.”
