Methodist Hospital’s will be offering a health education series for women called Healthy Night out with the Girls. It will be held on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at the Northwest Indiana Breast Care Center located at the Southlake Campus, Pavilion A at 101 E. 87th. Avenue, Second Floor, in Merrillville.
Dates and topics are as follows:
* February 13th – Heart Month with Comprehensive Screenings for Cardiovascular Disease
Speaker – Dr. Andre Artis, Cardiologist and Connie Adams, Cardiac Clinical Nurse Practioner
Topic: Get up to date information on the new guidelines for the prevention of heart attack and stroke
* March 13th – Menopause
Speaker – Dr. C. Nchekwube, Family Medicine
Topic: Menopause, natural remedies for hot flashes, insomnia, low libido and more.
* May 8th – Stroke Awareness Month & Bone Health Month
