LAPORTE – Melissa Grcich has been named the new Transitional Care/Care Management Director for both Indiana University Health LaPorte and Starke hospitals.
She will oversee the departments, collaborating in the development and implantation of transitional care and new structure within the Social Services/Case Management department.
Grcich brings varied leadership experience in charge nurse roles, development of cultural standards, coordinating chair of the shared governance council and supervision. Previously, she worked with Methodist Hospitals, where she served in critical care, renal, case management and utilization review. Most recently she has served as the Care Manager at IU Health Starke Hospital since 2011.
She received her bachelor of science in Nursing from Valparaiso University, and is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at Purdue University Calumet.
