MISHAWAKA – The Memorial Kidney and Hypertension Center offers a full service approach to the treatment of kidney disease, high blood pressure and anemia.

Led by Medical Director Arif Goreja, this new center brings a model of care to our community that focuses on slowing the progression of kidney disease using a team of nephrologists, interventional radiologists, dietitians, and nursing staff that are well trained in evidence-based medicine to delay disease progression.

The team treats many diseases and disorders, including: chronic and acute kidney disease, hypertension management, glomerular disease, poly cystic kidney disease and all other types of kidney disease.

Goreja completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in New Jersey and his fellowship in nephrology from Winthrop University in New York. He is board certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty certification in nephrology. Goreja was an associate professor of medicine and section chief of nephrology at Marshall University Joan C. Edward’s School of Medicine in Huntington, W.V.

The Memorial Kidney and Hypertension Center is located within Schwartz-Wiekamp Medical Group at 4630 Vistula Road in Mishawaka.
