GARY – Gary Jet Center at Gary/Chicago International Airport has opened a new $5 million, 40,000-square-foot hangar.

The hangar was designed by the Lee Co., which has applied for LEED designation for the building, which would certify it as a green project and environmentally friendly.

Jet Center owner Wil Davis said the new hangar was necessary because his operation had run out of room. The Jet Center has 48 employees.
